This dessert is the perfect ending to any meal and
easy for an entire party to share.
- 9 pounds green Tree Top Apple Slices
- 1 cup cinnamon-sugar mixture
- 1 1/2 cups butter, unsalted
- 6 cups caramel sauce
- 2 cups caramel sauce
- 3 quarts vanilla ice cream
- 36, 8-inch flour tortillas
- 24 fresh mint leaves
- Vegetable oil for deep frying, as needed
To prepare: Saute' apples in hot butter until soft and beginning to brown.
Remove apples, drain thoroughly and combine with 2 cups of Litehouse caramel sauce
in large bowl; set aside.
Cut tortillas into eight triangles. Deep fry tortilla triangles until crisp
and barely golden. Drain well; coat withcinnamon-sugar mixture. Set aside.
To serve, place about 12 tortilla triangles on a serving platter and arrange
1 cup of warm apple-caramel mixtureover and around tortillas; top with 1/2 cup
ice cream and drizzle with 1/4 cup caramel sauce. Garnish with a mint leaf.
Makes 24 servings.
